**Last Updated: September 2026**

If you are searching for Classy alternatives, start with one fact: Classy no longer exists under that name. GoFundMe bought Classy in 2022, and on May 6, 2025 it [retired the Classy name](https://thenonprofittimes.com/npt_articles/gofundme-pro-launching-retiring-classy-name/) and relaunched the product as GoFundMe Pro. Classy.org now redirects to pro.gofundme.com. So if your renewal notice, your donor receipts, or your login screen now say GoFundMe Pro, you are on the same platform with a new label. Most people reading this page are in one of two positions. Either an annual Classy contract is coming up for renewal and you want to know what else is out there, or you are shortlisting fundraising software and found Classy in an older comparison. Both are good reasons to look at the [alternatives to Classy](/alternatives/) below.

We ranked eight platforms on four things: how openly they publish pricing, how stable their ownership is, how actively the product is developed, and how deep the fundraising and membership features go. Raklet is one of the eight and appears first, because this is our website. The other seven are established platforms with published pricing wherever the vendor offers it.

## Key Takeaways

- **Classy was renamed GoFundMe Pro in May 2025.** GoFundMe acquired it in 2022, so an existing Classy contract is now a GoFundMe Pro contract.
- For most organizations that leave, the problem is **the contract, not the feature set**: an annual upfront subscription, no free plan to test first, and reviewer reports of renewals charged without notice.
- **Raklet** is the pick if you want to test on your own data before paying: a permanent free plan, monthly billing available, and members and donors in one record.
- **Zeffy** and **Givebutter** are the zero-subscription options for fundraising-only teams, both funded by optional donor tips.
- Before you renew or sign anywhere, get the full cost in writing. GoFundMe Pro now quotes custom pricing: an annual subscription plus a fee on every donation.
- The fastest way to choose: scan the comparison table below.

## Why Organizations Look for Classy Alternatives

Classy built a strong reputation for well-designed campaign pages, peer-to-peer fundraising, and event registration, and that part of the product still gets good marks. Its [Capterra profile](https://www.capterra.com/p/127258/GoFundMe-Pro/reviews/), now listed under GoFundMe Pro, averages 4.3 out of 5. The complaints that send organizations shopping are mostly about the commercial relationship, and they cluster into six themes.

### The brand you signed with is gone

GoFundMe announced the acquisition in January 2022, and Classy operated as a subsidiary until the May 2025 rebrand folded it into GoFundMe Pro. For a nonprofit that chose Classy because it was a specialist nonprofit vendor, that matters: your fundraising platform now belongs to a consumer crowdfunding company, and roadmap, pricing, and policy decisions are made at the parent level. The parent has also had a difficult year with nonprofits. In October 2025 it created donation pages for US charities without their consent, which led to a multistate attorney general letter in March 2026. Our [GoFundMe alternatives roundup](/alternatives/best-gofundme-alternatives/) covers that episode in detail.

### Renewals charged without warning

The most serious complaint in the review record is about renewal billing. Several reviewers on [Software Advice](https://www.softwareadvice.com/product/3650-GoFundMe-Pro/reviews/) and TrustRadius say an annual subscription auto-renewed without advance notice. One organization reported a charge of about $5,000 that it had not expected and could not get refunded. These are individual reports, not a documented policy, but they come up often enough that you should find out your renewal date and notice window now rather than in the week the invoice arrives.

### Hard to leave mid-contract

A related theme is how hard it is to get out. An executive director reviewing the platform on Capterra in 2018 said the sales process glossed over limitations with donor fund selection and analytics, and that the organization could not cancel once it found the product did not fit. Other reviewers make the same point more bluntly. The contract is the commitment, whatever you learn in the first quarter.

### No free plan and no way to test first

GoFundMe Pro has no free plan and no self-serve trial. You get a demo and a quote, then commit to a year. One 2022 reviewer said the vendor would not let them trial the platform before an annual fee of roughly $4,000, and suggested that was the point. For a small development team, buying a year of software you have only seen in a sales demo is a real risk.

### You cannot see the price before the sales call

The GoFundMe Pro [pricing page](https://pro.gofundme.com/c/pricing/) no longer lists tiers. It asks for your organization’s name and returns a custom quote, and its own FAQ describes the model as “an annual upfront subscription with a transaction fee per donation.” Live Events and the Salesforce integration are add-ons sold separately. The platform is also limited to nonprofits headquartered in the United States. On Software Advice, value for money is its lowest-rated category, at 3.9 out of 5.

### Slower product development since the merger

A lead systems analyst reviewing on Capterra in February 2025 said features had been promised for years without arriving, and that innovation had slowed sharply since GoFundMe took over. In fairness, the release notes show real work in 2025, including AI-suggested donation amounts across more campaign types and reusable campaign templates. The concern is less that nothing ships and more that the roadmap now serves a much larger parent company’s priorities.

## What to Look for in a Classy Alternative

Each criterion below matches one of the problems above. Put every platform on your shortlist through all five before you sign.

- **Whether you can test it before you pay.** A permanent free plan or a genuine self-serve trial lets you run a real campaign with real donors before you commit. If the only way in is a demo and an annual contract, you are repeating the Classy purchase.
- **Contract length, renewal notice, and how you get out.** Ask for the renewal notice period, the cancellation window, and any early-termination fee in writing. Ask as well how recurring donors move if you leave, because recurring gifts rarely transfer automatically between payment processors.
- **A published, all-in rate.** Add the subscription, the platform fee, the processing fee, and every add-on you will actually use. A vendor that will not put that total on a web page or in a quote is making the comparison hard on purpose.
- **How actively the product is developed, and who decides.** Check the release notes for the last twelve months and look at who owns the company. An acquisition, a roll-up, or private equity ownership all change how roadmap and pricing decisions get made.
- **Whether you need members as well as donors.** GoFundMe Pro is fundraising software. It has no member database, no dues, no directory, and no member portal. If your supporters also pay dues or attend member events, a fundraising-only tool means running two systems.

## The Best Classy Alternatives in 2026

## How we evaluated these alternatives

We scored each platform on four dimensions: pricing transparency, ownership stability, product cadence, and the depth of its fundraising and membership features. Our sources were G2, Capterra, and Software Advice reviews, each vendor’s public pricing and product documentation, and Raklet sales call transcripts where a platform came up (none mentioned Classy or GoFundMe Pro when we wrote this). We took prices from public pricing pages and rechecked them in September 2026. Where a vendor does not publish pricing, we show ranges from third-party and customer reports, labeled as estimates. Raklet is one of the alternatives and we list ourselves first because this is our page.

### 1. Raklet

Founded 2013 · Privately held · 10+ employees

Raklet is a membership and community platform for nonprofits, associations, alumni networks, clubs, and faith communities. Donation forms and fundraising campaigns sit alongside the member database, dues and renewals, event ticketing with QR check-in, built-in email marketing, digital membership cards, a member directory, and a private community feed. Every contact has one profile with a timeline of their gifts, memberships, and event attendance, so a donor who is also a member stays one record, not two.

Raklet answers the Classy complaints most directly on the commercial side. There is a permanent free plan for 100 contacts with no credit card, so you can build a donation form and run it before paying anything. Paid plans can be billed monthly rather than on an annual commitment, and published prices mean the quote is on the website. Raklet also serves organizations outside the US, where GoFundMe Pro is limited to US-headquartered nonprofits. To be clear about the limits: Raklet has no peer-to-peer donor network comparable to GoFundMe’s, payments run through Stripe plus limited PayPal, and phone and video support is a paid add-on. If you want to see how the two compare line by line, read our [Classy vs Raklet](/alternatives/classy-vs-raklet/) comparison.

**Pricing:** Permanent free plan for 100 contacts. Paid plans are priced by contacts and features: Essentials $49/month (500 contacts), Professional $99/month (1,000 contacts), and Premium $399/month (10,000 contacts) on annual billing, or slightly more month to month. Extra contacts are $29/month per 1,000. Raklet charges a platform fee on top of standard processor fees, set by plan: 4% on Free, 3% on Essentials, 2% on Professional, and 1% on Premium, each plus $0.60 per charge. Full details are on [Raklet pricing](/pricing/).

**Best for:** Nonprofits and associations whose donors are also members, and anyone who wants to test with real data before committing.

**Not ideal for:** Organizations whose fundraising depends on large peer-to-peer campaigns and a built-in donor discovery network.

### 2. Zeffy

Privately held · Donor-tip funded · Serves 100,000+ nonprofits

Zeffy trades the subscription for a donor tip. Its [pricing page](https://www.zeffy.com/pricing) promises no platform fee and no card processing fee for nonprofits, and says the company covers its costs through a voluntary contribution donors can add at checkout, which about two in three choose to give. The product covers donation forms, peer-to-peer campaigns, event ticketing, a donor database, and email.

For a Classy customer whose main objection is paying an annual subscription for campaign pages, Zeffy is the sharpest contrast: there is no contract to renew because there is nothing to pay. The trade-off is depth. Reporting, segmentation, and integrations are basic next to a dedicated donor CRM, and the donor tip prompt is the business model, so your donors will see it on every gift. [Visit Zeffy](https://www.zeffy.com/)

**Pricing:** $0 platform fee and $0 processing fee for nonprofits. Funded by optional donor contributions.

**Best for:** Small and mid-size nonprofits that want campaign and event fundraising with no fixed cost.

**Not ideal for:** Teams that need advanced donor analytics or would rather not show donors a tip prompt.

### 3. Givebutter

Founded 2016 · VC-backed by BVP Forge · 100 to 150 employees

Givebutter is the closest match to Classy’s campaign experience without the annual contract. It covers donation forms, peer-to-peer and team fundraising, event ticketing, auctions, text-to-give, and a built-in donor CRM, and it accepts PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH. Reviewers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on [Capterra](https://www.capterra.com/p/172048/Givebutter/reviews/), among the highest scores in the category.

Its [pricing](https://givebutter.com/pricing) is published and flexible: 0% platform fee when donor tips are enabled, and a flat 3% when they are off. With tips on, Givebutter also covers card processing for nonprofits. An optional Givebutter Plus subscription starts at $29/month and can be tested commitment-free for 30 days. Givebutter has no member management, dues, or member portal, so it replaces the fundraising half of a stack but not the membership half. [Visit Givebutter](https://givebutter.com/)

**Pricing:** Free with donor tips enabled; 3% platform fee with tips disabled. Givebutter Plus optional from $29/month.

**Best for:** Teams that loved Classy’s campaign pages and peer-to-peer tools but not the contract.

**Not ideal for:** Organizations that also need to manage members, dues, and renewals.

### 4. Bloomerang

Founded 2012 · PE-owned by JMI Equity and Warburg Pincus · 385 to 579 employees

Bloomerang is a donor CRM first and a fundraising tool second, which is the reverse of Classy. It is built around donor retention: engagement scoring, a retention dashboard, moves management for major gifts, and wealth screening. It serves more than 23,000 organizations and holds a 4.7 out of 5 rating across more than 1,200 [Capterra reviews](https://www.capterra.com/p/131207/Bloomerang/).

Choose Bloomerang if you realized on Classy that campaign pages were never the hard part, and the real gap is knowing which donors are about to lapse. It is sold on annual terms, and the CRM, fundraising tools, and volunteer module are priced separately, so it will cost more than Classy’s campaign tooling alone. It is majority owned by private equity, so ask about renewal price protection before you sign a multi-year agreement. [Visit Bloomerang](https://bloomerang.com/)

**Pricing:** CRM from $125/month billed annually; Bloomerang Fundraising from $40/month billed annually. Price rises with constituent count.

**Best for:** Established nonprofits focused on donor retention and major gifts.

**Not ideal for:** Small teams on tight budgets, or organizations that need membership management.

### 5. Donorbox

Privately held · 100,000+ organizations · $4B+ raised

Donorbox specializes in donation forms that embed in your own website, so donors never leave your domain or your branding. It supports recurring giving, peer-to-peer, text-to-give, event tickets, and a light CRM, with integrations for Mailchimp, Salesforce, QuickBooks, and Zapier. The company says more than 100,000 organizations have raised over $4 billion through it.

If your Classy setup was mainly a donate button and a recurring-giving form, Donorbox replaces it without a contract. Its fees are published on its [pricing page](https://donorbox.org/pricing): the free Standard plan charges a platform fee of 2.95% to 3.95%, and the $150/month Pro plan lowers that to 1.75% to 2%. Processing is charged on top. It has no membership features and its CRM is thin next to Bloomerang. [Visit Donorbox](https://donorbox.org/)

**Pricing:** Standard plan free with a 2.95% to 3.95% platform fee; Pro $150/month at 1.75% to 2%; Premium by quote at 1.6% to 2%. Processing additional.

**Best for:** Nonprofits that want branded donation forms on their own website with no contract.

**Not ideal for:** Organizations that need a full donor CRM or membership tools.

### 6. Neon CRM (Neon One)

Founded 2004 · Neon One, a roll-up of four acquired companies · 175 to 189 employees

Neon CRM is the all-in-one option for mid-size nonprofits that want donor management, online fundraising, events, and memberships from one vendor. Neon One assembled the suite by acquiring several products, which explains both its breadth and the occasional seam between modules. Unusually for a CRM this size, it publishes pricing: three nonprofit tiers at $99, $209, and $409 per month, with memberships, volunteers, and events added as a percentage of the CRM fee.

Neon is the most direct replacement on this list for an organization that used Classy for fundraising and a separate tool for memberships. Two things to plan for before you move. Contracts are annual and renew automatically, which is the same structure many Classy customers are trying to leave. And phone and live chat support are reserved for the top Empower tier. [Visit Neon One](https://neonone.com/)

**Pricing:** From $99/month for nonprofits, rising to $209 and $409 per month. Module add-ons priced as a percentage of the CRM fee.

**Best for:** Mid-size nonprofits running donors, events, and memberships from one vendor.

**Not ideal for:** Teams specifically trying to avoid auto-renewing annual contracts.

### 7. DonorPerfect

Founded 1981 · Bootstrapped, owned by SofterWare · 200 to 300 employees

DonorPerfect has been in continuous development since 1981 under the same owner, SofterWare, which has never taken outside investment. For a Classy customer who has now been through an acquisition and a rebrand in three years, that ownership record is the main selling point. The product is a full donor database: gift entry, recurring giving, moves management, event tracking, and a deep reporting library.

DonorPerfect offers month-to-month terms as well as annual, which answers the lock-in complaint directly. The interface is dated next to Givebutter or Funraise, and the vendor has moved its pricing behind a quote form, so budget from third-party figures and confirm in writing. [Visit DonorPerfect](https://www.donorperfect.com/)

**Pricing:** Not published. Third-party sources put the entry tier at roughly $89 to $99/month for about 1,000 records. Estimate; confirm with the vendor.

**Best for:** Established nonprofits that want a mature donor database from an owner-operated vendor.

**Not ideal for:** Buyers who want public pricing or a modern interface.

### 8. Funraise

Founded 2015 · VC-backed (Series A led by Toba Capital) · Costa Mesa, California

Funraise is a fundraising and donor management platform started by three nonprofit fundraisers, and it is the closest like-for-like product to Classy on this list. Both are built around branded donation pages, recurring giving, events and ticketing, and a donor database. Its paid plans add peer-to-peer fundraising, wealth screening, text-to-give, auctions, and an API. Its homepage also advertises AI forecasting for fundraising.

The difference from Classy is how you get in. Funraise publishes a free plan for organizations raising under $1 million a year, with no subscription and a 5% platform fee per transaction. You can build and run a campaign before talking to sales, and the company says about 90% of donors choose to cover fees. The same [pricing page](https://www.funraise.org/pricing) lists bulk imports and recurring subscription migration, which matters if you are moving recurring donors off another platform. Premium plans are quote-only with a platform fee between 0% and 3%. [Visit Funraise](https://www.funraise.org/)

**Pricing:** Free plan at $0/month with a 5% platform fee, for organizations raising under $1 million a year. Premium plans by quote at 0% to 3%. Card processing 2.9% + 60 cents on both.

**Best for:** Classy customers who want a similar donation-page product they can try on a free plan first.

**Not ideal for:** High-volume fundraisers on the free plan, where a 5% fee becomes expensive, and anyone who needs membership tools.

## What Does Each Platform Cost at Your Donor Count?

*Annual cost estimates as of September 2026. Figures come from published pricing pages where they exist; quote-based figures are ranges from verified customer reports. Fee-funded platforms have no subscription, so their real cost depends on how much you raise rather than how many donors you have. Neon CRM sets its tier by annual revenue rather than record count, so its range appears at every size. Actual pricing varies by contract, modules, and negotiation.*

## Which Classy Alternative Is Right for You?

If you want Classy’s campaign pages without the annual subscription, start with Givebutter or Funraise. Givebutter is the better-reviewed of the two and free with donor tips on. Funraise is the closer product match and has a free plan for organizations raising under $1 million. If the goal is simply to pay nothing, Zeffy charges neither a platform fee nor a processing fee. If all you used Classy for was a donate button on your website, Donorbox does that well with no contract.

If leaving Classy is also a chance to fix donor management, the choice is between Bloomerang for retention analytics and major gifts, and DonorPerfect for a stable, owner-operated vendor with month-to-month terms. Read the [Bloomerang alternatives](/alternatives/best-bloomerang-alternatives/) roundup before you sign with either, since both are priced as long-term CRM commitments.

If your supporters are members as well as donors, look at Neon CRM and Raklet, the two platforms here that treat memberships as a core feature. Neon suits a larger nonprofit that is comfortable with an annual, revenue-based contract. Raklet suits organizations that want dues, donations, events, and the member portal in one record, billed monthly if they prefer and starting from a free plan. For more fundraising-first options, see our [Givebutter alternatives](/alternatives/best-givebutter-alternatives-ranked-and-reviewed/) and [NeonCRM alternatives](/alternatives/best-neon-crm-alternatives/) roundups.

The fastest way to avoid another contract you cannot test is to test first. Raklet’s free plan covers 100 contacts permanently, with no credit card, so you can [set up a free account](https://login.raklet.com/quickregister) and run a real donation form before paying anything. Every paid plan, contact limit, and transaction fee is listed on the [Raklet pricing page](/pricing/).

## Frequently Asked Questions

### What happened to Classy?

GoFundMe announced it was acquiring Classy in January 2022, and Classy ran as a GoFundMe subsidiary after the deal closed. On May 6, 2025, GoFundMe retired the Classy name and relaunched the product as GoFundMe Pro. Classy.org now redirects to pro.gofundme.com. If your organization had a Classy account, it is now a GoFundMe Pro account on the same platform.

### Is Classy the same as GoFundMe Pro?

Yes. GoFundMe Pro is the Classy platform under a new name, not a separate product. Campaign pages, peer-to-peer fundraising, events, and recurring giving carried over, and GoFundMe has since added features such as AI-suggested donation amounts. It is distinct from the free consumer GoFundMe site: GoFundMe Pro is sold to US nonprofits on a custom-priced annual subscription plus a fee per donation.

### Can I cancel a Classy contract early?

It depends on your signed order form, so read it first. Reviewers report that cancelling mid-term is difficult and that renewals have gone through without notice, so find your renewal date and notice window and send written non-renewal notice well before it. Plan for recurring donors too, because recurring gifts rarely move automatically between payment processors. For anything contractual, check with your own legal adviser.

### What is the best Classy alternative?

The answer turns on why you are leaving. For Classy-style campaign pages without an annual contract, start with Givebutter, or Funraise if you want the closest product match on a free plan. If losing donors worries you more than building campaigns, Bloomerang’s retention tools are the stronger buy. And when your donors are also members, Raklet keeps both in one record from a permanent free plan.

### Is there a free Classy alternative?

Yes, several. Zeffy charges nonprofits no platform or processing fee and relies on optional donor tips. Givebutter is free when tips are enabled. Funraise has a free plan with a 5% platform fee for organizations raising under $1 million, and Donorbox has a free plan with a platform fee from 2.95%. Raklet has a permanent free plan for up to 100 contacts, with no credit card required.

### What is the cheapest Classy alternative?

Zeffy is the cheapest, because it charges nonprofits neither a platform fee nor a processing fee. Givebutter is close behind: with donor tips enabled it charges no platform fee and covers card processing. Among subscription platforms, Raklet starts with a free plan for 100 contacts and paid plans from $49 per month billed annually, with every fee published on its pricing page.

## The Bottom Line on Classy Alternatives

Classy is now GoFundMe Pro, and the reasons organizations leave have more to do with the deal than the software: an annual contract you cannot test first, a price you only see after a sales call, and renewals some reviewers say they could not stop. Givebutter and Funraise keep the campaign experience while letting you start free, Zeffy removes the platform cost entirely, and Bloomerang is the upgrade if donor retention is the real gap. If your donors are also your members, Raklet keeps them in one record on a plan you can try before you pay. If you are comparing more than one platform, the roundups below cover the nearest alternatives.
